Leadership – The New Dawn
Never before have we seen a time where leadership in business is going to take front stage. When times are great, companies can grow with a tail wind of pure consumer optimism. It is said that great leaders are developed in times of adversity, not in times prosperity. Given the current economic headwinds of which we have not seen since The Great Depression, leadership skills will be tested from small business to large multinationals.
The companies that will flourish after these tough economic times pass will be those that have leaders that respond to the adversity and the challenges that they face moving forward. The challenges will be in preserving staff moral while positioning their business in a more competitive marketplace with perhaps declining demand. In the end, great leaders see opportunities in every difficulty and can lead their staff willingly toward their vision.
